About Me

I’m Rama Krishna Thoka, a backend and platform engineer with over 11 years of experience designing, building, and scaling production-grade systems using Ruby on Rails and AWS.

My work sits at the intersection of product engineering, cloud architecture, and developer enablement. Over the years, I’ve worked on internal platforms, high-traffic applications, and automation systems that improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity.

Currently, I work as a Product & Platform Engineering Associate Manager at Accenture, where I lead and contribute to initiatives involving cloud-native architecture, CI/CD automation, and large-scale Rails applications.

I enjoy solving hard backend problems, simplifying complex systems, and building tools that make developers’ lives easier. As part of this, I occasionally build small, focused developer tools for my own use. One such tool is a JSON Formatter with Tree View, which runs fully in the browser and helps visualize and format complex JSON payloads.

This site is a space where I share my work, tools, and engineering journey.

Beyond Work

Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction—especially novels by Chetan Bhagat—which I find a refreshing way to unwind and reflect on different perspectives.

I also enjoy playing chess, which aligns well with how I approach engineering problems: thinking a few moves ahead, balancing trade-offs, and continuously learning.

Most importantly, I value spending quality time with my kids. It keeps me grounded, curious, and constantly learning—often in ways that technology never teaches.
